Suzanne Hamdy, Therapist

I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel truly heard, understood, and supported. Wherever you are in your process, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Hi! My name is Suzanne, and I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC).

Life’s struggles can bring about a myriad of difficulties—anxiety, depression, grief, or relationship stress—that can feel overwhelming to juggle and confusing to navigate. Reaching out for help can feel daunting, but it can also be an exciting and empowering first step on your healing journey. I’m so grateful you’re here and look forward to walking with you through that process.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. I draw from person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and CBT-informed practices, while also incorporating structured skills when helpful—especially from DBT.

I work flexibly to meet each client where they are, exploring both present concerns and deeper patterns. I often guide clients in uncovering the roots of resistance and ambivalence, helping them build insight and self-trust along the way. I believe that within each of us lies resilience, clarity, and the capacity for change.

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have a growing interest in Internal Family Systems (IFS), both of which enrich my work, especially when supporting clients through trauma, inner conflict, and attachment wounds.

Outside of the therapy room, I’m from Baltimore County and love spending time with my family—especially my nieces—as well as my friends. I enjoy playing fetch with my dog, exploring new hobbies, listening to podcasts, and playing board games.
